Inna Vorobets
flutist
Inna Vorobets is a flutist of the Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra, UKHO Ensemble Kyiv and Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra. She is also a holder of the “Gaude Polonia” scholarship of the Ministry of Culture of Poland and the presidential scholarship for young artists in Ukraine in 2020-2021.

Born in Ukraine she is a graduate of the Lviv Musical Academy in the flute class of A. Karpyak. She has also got her second Master’s Degree in a specialised Track for Contemporary Music Performance TEDARIM supervised and directed by Meitar Ensemble in Israel. When she was 22 years old, Inna Vorobets got her position at the INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra. Two years later, in 2015, she also won auditions for UKHO ENSEMBLE as a solo flutist. This Kyiv-based ensemble has become Ukraine’s champion of contemporary classical music. Their first recording, “Pas Perdu”, a monograph of Stefano Gervasoni, was released in September 2018 by Munich-based label Winter&Winter, to rave reviews. The Second album, “Gardens” a long-awaited production of Toshio Hosokawa, was released in August 2019 for Kairos music. 

During the years 2019-2022 Inna has been also playing together with the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra.

She has performed at different and varied venues as a soloist and a chamber musician together with Poznan Philharmonic, Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, “Lviv Virtuosi” Chamber Orchestra”, UKHO Ensemble Kyiv, MEITAR Ensemble and Kyiv Mozart Orchestra. Among the festivals where she played were Affekt Festival in Tallinn, Festival für Neue Musik in Bonn, Poznan Spring Contemporary Music Festival, Eclat Festival / Kyiv Dispatch in Stuttgart, CEME Festival in TEL Aviv, Israel Contemporary Music Festival, Ukrainian Days in Strasbourg, Silvestrov Marathon in Kyiv and others. Inna Vorobets had participated in various flute master classes with Renate Greiss-Armin, Markus Bronnimann, Peter Verhoyen, Pirmin Grehl, Sharon Bezaly, Jenifer Grimm, Maria Semotuyk - Shlaffke, Mario Caroli and others.

From 2022 Inna is a flutist of the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra and recently was featured in Larry Weinstein’s new documentary “Beethoven’s Nine—Ode to Humanity” available on ARTE.

She was also one of the speakers of the “Ripped out at the roots/Artists from Berlin and Ukraine in exile” discussion, directed by the Humboldt Forum Berlin in 2023.
